Performances
The 2008 Life & Arts Festival is going to be another fabulous festival filled with a wide selection of entertainment and performers for everyone to enjoy. This year we are happy to be welcoming the following to our festival.

Aeriosa
Aeriosa is an amazing troupe of aerial dance pioneers from
Vancouver
who create and perform dances in unexpected vertical spaces. AERIOSA artists dance and train in the mountains on sheer rock walls. In urban landscapes they take this concept into the realm of public spaces, turning the audiences gaze upward, providing a chance to reflect on the cultural significance of vertical architecture. They will once again grace the Library Plaza Parkade with their unique and artistic performances, and provide a Q & A after each show.

Theatre De L’Aubergine presents “Staccato”
Since their beginnings in 1974, L’Aubergine has become one of Québec’s most well-established performing arts groups for children. With self-described “elegant buffoonery” and “artistic zaniness,” the terrific twosome of the mischievous Bigoudis and her better-behaved juggler friend Bob present Staccato, and feature a series of farcical scenarios in which they stumble upon an elephant with a musical trunk and a tap dancer sporting stiletto heels! In the bilingual play Staccato, musical instruments become props and props become musical instruments. If you need a healthy serving of hilarity, look no further than Bob and Bigoudis’ marvelous theatrical cook-up.

Friday, May 9, 9:30–10:20am & 1:10–2:00pm
Saturday, May 10, 2:00–2:50pm

With Koyczan's skill at word play and layered metaphors, McGee's funny storytelling, and Avery's gifts of rhyme, rhythm, and blues – together – T.O.F.U. showcases the group's marbled sense of humanity and humor, creating a thoroughly dynamic chemistry.
